Matthew Clarke joined Cappello & Noël in 2002 and became a partner in 2007. Mr. Clarke is a member of the litigation team representing plaintiffs in insurance "bad faith", construction defect, business, intellectual property, product liability, and other complex litigation matters. Mr. Clarke co-tried the firm's longest trial which lasted 11 months and resulted in a multi-million dollar judgment in a construction defect case. He has also tried cases involving legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, real estate transactions and investments. Prior to joining Cappello & Noël, Mr. Clarke was a litigator with Hager & Dowling in Santa Barbara where he defend insurance coverage and bad faith cases brought against insurance carriers as well as catastrophic injury cases, product liability and general liability defense. Prior to that, Mr. Clarke was an in-house attorney advising a large company regarding employment matters.
